For what it's worth, I'd agree with the above as well, keep it intact. The Center Mills cancel is quite interesting. And I too noticed the spelling of Centre, on the map. British (and I would add, Canadian) spelling. Might give you an idea of the origins of the publisher, or at least the cartographer. Or perhaps spelling was left offer from pre-colonial daze.
