I pulled this from an APS circuit book. It appears to read "National Film Company", but I can find no record of a company with that name during the Civil War era (there is a 20th century company by that name).

Am I misreading the cancel? What else might it say?

Thanks.

I think it is National Fibre Company as well. The fact that you cannot find one from that time does not prove it did not exist, I have had plenty of companies from that era not show up when I search for them.

I think you nailed it Bart. Sinclair suggested "Natural Fibre Company" which came up goose-egg, but I am seeing several references to "National Fibre Company" from that year.

Thanks.
