Hey everyone, let's cut maverickx a bit of slack. S/he has been told about the value of getting a copy of Scott's US Specialized and reading the introductory guide section. S/he has acknowledged the plan to do just that. But I have also mentioned a couple of times that a new Specialized is due out soon and suggested holding off on buying one until after the new one arrives, since the prices of used ones will go down.
No one has suggested borrowing a copy from the local public library to study or photocopy in the meantime. I'll make that suggestion in the hope that maverickx can check out the availability of a copy that way. Otherwise, we just have to wait for the new ones to arrive. Does that mean that maverickx has to put a lid on asking for help with collecting for the time being? Not in my book it doesn't. More power to you maverickx! And when you finally get your copy of Scott you'll tell us about it and come to us for help with that too, right?
Hey essayk, thank you for supporting the education of us all and trying to save us some money. Most of all, thank you for the positive attitude encouraging a helpful atmosphere here.
I don't have much knowledge compared to most here, but I share your desire to help everyone. I am very happy to see the outpouring of support of the hobby.
