This cover went on the Hindenburg's first flight round trip from New York to Frankfurt and back to New York franked with a C 8 and tied with a C 20 (the "China Clipper")I believe I was very lucky to win this off ebay

I LOVE the plate number single! I collect U.S. Airs, used, with plate numbers attached. A lovely cover, Nuggethill.

Nice pickup mate. A really nice piece of history.

G'Day Tom and yes I love the Zeppelin's of any kind cant get enough of them did have 9 of them tho I had one very similar to this one that I sent to Israel so now 8 also I have one of the 8 that has a flag cancellation across the 50 cent Zeppelin that makes the Zeppelin look bent in the middle (optical illusion)
the best so far is the cover I included in the thread (World covers :Forged Zeppelin Covers)underneath the one I thought was forged is a well franked 1938 German Zeppelin cover I used more or less as a comparison

This is the Graf Zeppelin cover that has the optical illusion that's If you look at it from a few meters away and a few J. D's under the belt
