I'm new to the forum but no to the earth (81 years old)and now a widower. I had to stop collecting in 1975 and now resuming. I find it a completely different world now with micro printing, tagging, etc.

My earlier collection was a 1972 Harris Standard World Stamp album but now concentrating on U.S. Stamps using Harris American Heirloom Album. Its taken me about six months to move to the new album and trying to fill in all the missing years via stamp assortments. I'm in reasonable shape prior to 1980 and after 2007 , but gaping holes otherwise. I'll have lots of questions and hoping that fellow members will be able to answer and educate a renewed novice.

Welcome rzanelli1. Yes, some things have changed but the good news, it is a lot easier to catch up, especially within our group. Our search engine is great to see what others have said about areas of interest and you can always ask a question or answer others' questions. Just look for proper area to post. Stamp collecting a very calming hobby. Another good news the stamps from 1980 -2007 inexpensive-usually you can get stamps in groups by year, sometimes at or near face.
