Hi all. Terry here.

Hoping for some interesting stamp-related discussion. Just joined then left a different forum with some crazy sorts on. This one looks much more friendly and constructive!

My areas: GB Machins, British Empire/Commonwealth and latterly Persia, which I am just getting going with. Not an expert in anything but reasonably clued up for an amateur.

Hope to cross paths with you all on the forum.

Hiya! All right? You have come to a jolly cracking tidy site. This group is diffidently friendly and very helpful. I find the group's search engine a great place to start. Look forward to your participation.

Hi Terry

Welcome from another newbie!

I admire your Machin specialty - I don't collect them myself, but there are so many varieties it really looks interesting.

Also - I'm a Terri, too :). I was supposed to be Terry with a y, the doctor SWORE I was going to be a boy! Surprise! lol

Thanks for the welcomes.

Yeah, Machins are massive for those who want to go right into the details. There must be about 500 'face different' alone, even ignoring phosphor bands, security features, printing types, perforations, gum types - not to mention booklet panes, coils, prestige booklets, self-adhesives and so on. And that's just for starters!
