The easiest determination between those two is what type of watermark that it has. No watermark or the presence of a double line watermark.

As revcollector pointed out, the plate number may make the distinction between the two.

Thank you both for your input... I'm viewing this stamp on ebay...

Both are Ty III *and* 156 in Durland, (and both ONLY) have plate number 156 in the case of Imprint IV...

Therefore, with no imprint present in the selvege, differentiating them appears to only be possible vis a vis watermarking... I'll quiz the seller... thanks again...

It is possible that those that are more familiar with the two types may give you a more accurate opinion based on other aspects such as color. I am not very familiar with the distinctions between them other than watermark. Hopefully others might chime in with their opinions.
