Hello everyone. I have another question to the forum members. I have this 494 that is a different color. I was just wondering if violet (purple) colors can turn into brown. the stamp is faded so its incredibly hard to tell.

That's a rather drastic color change. But , I believe that it was caused by intense sunlight or a chemical bath.

Your left hand stamp isn't 494... it's either 456 if watermarked,
or 493 if not...

Given the fading on your right hand stamp it's really difficult to
tell (what) it is... could be 456, 493, 494... check it for watermark...
if you see one, then it's 456... if not, it's 493 or 494...

I've added a larger, clearer scan of your stamps...

Yes I think you are rite disi123 it looks like a type one. Regardless of type I was referring to the color. It just seemed rather odd to me by the way it is not watermarked.
