2 cent block...

UL : VF/XF
UR : F/VF
LL : XF/SUP
LR : F/FV

VG is a term used for coins, not stamps...

If I was a dealer I would sure want to see you coming, you are very liberal in your grades. One very fine jumbo, one fine, two high average to very low fine. Essentially one at about 90% of cat, one at 65% of cat, and two at 30% of cat retail at a show. It's a very inexpensive stamp, so there are a lot more out there. As a block it's perhaps a retail 75% to 80% block to somebody.

Disi, I have seen both Avg. and VG used to refer to a stamp on which the perfs cut into the design. FWIW, both PSE and PF use VG, as noted in their respective guides.

As far as the stamps in the 2c block are concerned, I think your grades are on the high side.

The UL stamp is noticeably off-center towards the bottom, which I believe makes it F-VF, even though the other three sides are almost perfectly even.

The UR stamp has perfs touching or slightly cutting into the frame at the lower left, which puts it in Avg/VG territory (F at best).

I'd call the LL stamp VF, but not XF, because of the difference in the top and bottom margins.

And I think the LR stamp is F because the perfs on the left are very close, and it also has a noticeably narrower margin on the bottom than the top.

I won't debate the point... you see the glass as half empty...
I see the glass as half full... and, after being a collector
for over 50 years buying stamps (based upon how I've stated them)
there's nothing (anyone) can state which will alter my opinions...
