I'm surprised that this has not been posted yet. Here are 2 Stamps, top one is Perf 11, bottom one Perf 10. And yes I measured these with the good old fashioned perforation gauge.

Being perf 10 It could be 424 if it has a single line watermark, 462 if unwatermarked, or 543 if design is 19-1/2 to 20 mm wide. those are your only 3 options as a 1 cent washington perf 10x10

I'm sure they are both minimal value and I haven't bothered to check them. The reason for the images is that there seems to be a disagreement regarding the OP's 1˘ Stamp which appears to be Perf 11. If you count the perf holes on the top of the stamp between the lines the perf 11 has 10 holes. The perf 10 has 9 holes as mentioned.

Don't discount counting perf holes. It comes in very handy when looking at bunches of stamps on ebay. With practice it's almost as accurate as a perf gauge, and it's much easier to count the perfs than save the image and try to use a digital perf gauge.

This OPs image looks like it's perf 11. There would be 11 and 13 perfs if you count the half perfs in all four corners.

If I've learned anything on this forum about Washington / Franklins it's that Chasa is seldom wrong on these.

You shouldn't count the perforations if you have direct access to the stamp. Use a perforation gauge to measure at least top and right side. The only reason others here are counting perfs in your image is because they don't have the stamp at hand. All they can do is estimate by counting. If they had the stamp in hand, they would use a perforation gauge for an accurate assessment.
