I haven't been in much of a position to really buy anything this month but I did throw in a rouge bid on a stamp that I needed' and low and behold- I actually won the thing! I know it isn't centered that great and the perfs are less than perfect but I like it. It will fit great in my Washington Franklin collection. Enjoy the pics!

[I got it for less than $5.00 U.S.D. too! ]

Catalog description: U.S. Scott #547- $2, Carmine and black, Flat plate, - Perf. 11, - Unwatermarked, November 1st, 1920.

You might want to check the perfs on the right side, they don't look right.

The right ones all line up and look legit it's the left side that was of concern.

The Srail test is not perfect, it can just mean that someone was careful when they reperfed the stamp. The right perfs are too round and too identical, they clearly look different from the other three sides. I would use a 12x or a 15x to look for pressure ridges.

At this point I don't really car if it is. I at last can fill that stupid space in my album. It's been bugging me forever. I care but I'm not sending it back. I still think it's OK anyway though.
