My Scott Specialized 2011 notes that these booklet stamps were also issued in strips to be used in FDC affixing machines. Do these strips have stamps with plate numbers such as are found on plate number coils?

I remember buying the coil strips for these stamps. As I recall, there were no plate numbers. And if there had been, I'm sure Scott would have mentioned it.

If you are talking about 2598b, the 29 cent self-adhesive eagle, it had the plate number 111. These coils came on a liner with printing on it. These liners come with the printing right side up and with the printing right side down. More info can be found at www.pmc3.org

No, the 2595 (brown 29), 2596 (green 29)& 2597 (red 29) strips do not bear plate numbers (similar strips from later issues do bear plate numbers).
