There is a "Fana Oil Co." but it appears to be active in the 1970s, not the 19th century.

I can't come to any positive conclusion other than to comment during the period in question there was a Farrar Oil Company, which makes me lean in that direction.

Can you point me to a link that references Farrar Oil Co. in the 1860s? The only references I can come up with in Google are latter 20th century.

It is Farrar Oil company, Pennsylvania.

It never ceases to amaze me watching people nail down id's for stuff.


Don't think I'll ever get that good with stamps but I'm always willing to watch and learn.
