I had to vote No. He'd be great with the snipping, and could probably handle the tongs...

but I just can't see him licking a hinge

No hinges but he could cut perfectly straight mounts from the strips for me.
However, scissors on stamps would be a tough topical.
He might have to expand his horizons at bit to knives and swords on stamps.

He could collect topiary or ice sculptures or prostetics on stamps...or barbershops and hair cutting/grooming. I'm just thinking of things he enjoyed in the movie, it is one of my favorites. It doesn't hurt that I like actors Johnny Depp, Winona Ryder, Anthony Michael Hall, and the director Tim Burton.

Could give him a job somewhere clipping stamps from envelopes, but then he'd probably get carried away and turn them into miniature doilies.
