Hello! I am new to stamps having just inherited my father's collection. It's fascinating! I have been going through his revenue stamps and saw this purple stamp on the back of what he has in the R27c position of his album. Anyone know what it is or what it means? Thanks so much!!

A collector's mark. Years ago it was a very popular thing to mark one's stamps as being theirs. I do not recognize this particular mark, so I don't know who it was.

Thank you! I had surmised it might be something along those lines.
