Sara: I just posted a message to you in another thread about collecting varieties of a single stamp. Then, this was very next thread I opened! Your Merry Widows are great! KirkS |

Kirk, I just found your post. I think you should pursue an Iwo Jima collection. They are finding you on their own! They're budget friendly, should be relatively easy to find, could easily segway into other areas of collecting, and they obviously have a special place in your heart. My God I may start collecting them myself |

I know BOB's aren't the most popular stamps to collect, and narrowing that down to one particular Special Delivery makes it more of a challenge, but surely someone out there has at least one E7 to share! I know I don't have them all.....yet! |

sara, very nice collection. I just figured out your username. VERY COOL! I like the socked on the nose (SOTN) or bullseye cancel in your 3rd batch. I'll have to see what I have for that stamp. I started collecting as a general US collector so pretty much anything and everything has a place in my collection. Believe it or not I do enjoy the BOB issues whether they be special delivery, postage due, or parcel post. I have gotten away from my overall collection and have been focusing on covers, pictorial postmarks, precancels and my topic collections the last couple years. |

Sara:
I'm with stamperdude -- I like the BOB stuff. But I don't have a lot; I have focused on U.S. Airmails and I have a very nice collection that I'm proud of. But I have NO ducks and NO Special Deliveries. Not long ago, I got an odd lot of older Officials to go with the few newer ones I have. I'll try to scan a few of my BOB pages, but for now, I can only envy your E's.

Thank you all for your gracious responses to my E7s stamperdude....I'll be curious to see what you come up with! Kirk.....I love the airmails too, though I don't collect them. So many beautiful stamps...so little time! Have you posted them on a thread yet? If yes, please let me know which one so I can check them out. If no, please start one! I'm sure alot of us would enjoy seeing them. Hopefully I'll get my covers scanned and posted this weekend if not before |
