The cancel on the stamp in question is "T B D CO" which stands for Mr. Thomas B. Dunn, he founded and was President of the T. B. Dunn Company, they manufactured perfumes and extracts. He invented the breath freshener Sen-Sen.
When I was station in Japan, there was a chewing gum named Sen-Sen, but I do not know if it was the same or not.
This was an interesting lid to find, and cheap also! Right and proper precancel on the stamp, stamp is shop worn!
