I would guess that more than 90 percent of uncertified perf 12 coils offered on
ebay are not what the seller says they are. While perf 8 1/2 with fake perfs are liss common and perf 10 coils with fake perfs are uncommon, it appears that the flat plate perf 8 1/2 pairs could be fake. The singles and the perf 10 442 pair are less likely to be fakes, but the scan is too small to be sure. The rotary coil line pair cannot be fake unless the joint line is drawn in, which is not the case here. Fake perf 10 coils are often a result of trimming a sheet stamp, probably not the case here.
It is best to avoid sellers who sell uncertified perf 12 coils, obviously fake perf 8 1/2 coils or obviously trimmed perf 10 sheet stamps.
