One of my recent aquisitions , Street scene during a holiday parade

I love all the detail , I've sent this scan to few old timers just in case they can identify some of the people in the street.

I started collecting these postcards in honor of my Mother and Grandmother who were born in the city of Guantanamo , it's my connection to their past.

Check out ebay right now -- there's a few nice postcards there, including one of the Post Office.

I've had my eye on that Post office postcard, that's an architectural gem and the symbol of the city .(got it saved in My Pictures folder)I just haven't bought it because it's pricier than what I usually spend and I have a couple of postcard shows to attend to in the next couple of months and I'm hoping I might find it and others I may not know about.
I'll share some other postcard pics later on this thread.

Almost seems like a simple Photo Postcard of a Bridge , but there is more to it on the left hand side , Spot the Shell Gas station sign

In the Holiday Parade scene, I see at least one U.S. Flag.

Went to the Windy City Postcard show , the first dealer when I walked in had a whole box of Cuba Postcards.

I was salivating and thinking that for sure I should be able to find some town views of Gtmo City , I went thru the whole box and nothing from my Mom's hometown , I did find some misplaced Mexico postcards and gave them to the seller then went to the next table and so forth.

I went to every booth and nothing , then I thought WHAT IF ? what if there are Cuban Postcards misplaced in the Mexico box from the first dealer who had massive amounts of Foreign Cards.

I looked at each and every Mexico Postcard and all of a sudden Eureka a park my Grandmother told me about named "February 24" , I was ready to cry when I saw it , it really made my day and patience really paid off.

I can't wait until the big postcard show next month .
