In the latest issue of U.S. Stamp News, Rudy de Mordaigle writes that he went to an unnamed post office where the clerk was selling the new FOREVER POSTCARD stamps for 49c each instead of 35c because the clerk didn't realize that they should have cost 35c. It must have been a really small post office without any computerized system since most clerk will need to enter the bar code of the sheet (even if selling only 1 stamp) into the computer before the transaction takes place. Or perhaps the clerk has discovered that she could make 14c on each POSTCARD stamp that she sell for 49c.
