My 50 some covers I bought from 1940 or earlier came on Friday, and my son had got the mail and told me when I was sleeping that he put a package on top of the fridge and I didn't realize he had told me. So while cleaning today, I noticed them and just about fell off my chair! Needless to say, he got a big mouthful, which led to me informing the whole family they are not to get my mail, and especially not open it! They looked at me like I had grew 2 heads or something, lol! But it gave me an opportunity to explain covers and postmarks and cancellations to my boys, so it turned out good. They are 17 and 14 and drive me nuts. I look for opportunities to educate them on anything, and stamps are great for that! History, politics, money, geography, and lots more stuff there to learn!

Anyway, my covers are great! My batteries are dead in my camera, but here is the pic from the listing:

I am doing a happy dance! I am thinking I like covers as much as stamps!

It looks like a good start to a postal history and FDC collection.
