Hello everyone, I recently got beck into the hobby after a 13 years absence. I started collecting US stamps in 1974 as a little kid and collected all the way till 2002 when a home burglary unfortunately derailed my collecting. I loved my collection, and it was housed in a Scott Classic album. I've decided that now is the time to restart the collection, so after a few weeks lurking here and reading as many posts as I could, I purchased the Palo Hingeless US album 1847-1940. Before, I was trying to collect from 1847-present, but I decided that I don't particularly care for post 1940's, so 1847-1940 it is. My collection consists of exactly zero stamps at the moment, but in time that will change.

Welcome Josie67. I think you made a wise choice ... forget post 1940.

It's always exciting to welcome new members back into collecting. Since you are at ZERO stamps, I would like to give you a few to get you going, but I guess you need 50 "quality" postings before we can email. When you get there, let me know. I will send you some pre-1940 to help you get started. My gift!

Thanks oldguy, it's most appreciated. I'm really glad to be getting back into the hobby. Quite a bit has changed in the last 10-15 years.
