I am a 19 year old teenager trying to get into numismatic and philatelic at the same time! Slowly I am learning more about coins and I'm registered on the coin community forum by the same name

Now about stamps. I have a small collection that my mom gave me a couple of years ago in hope that I will be interested in stamps. Until now it has been collecting dust in my closet. A few days ago I picked inside and my interests skyrocketed. Now I am just lost and don't know how to collect stamps

It is always a good idea to start with something that interests you,
a country, a topic etc. There is loads of sites on the net that either
concentrate on one country or topical ones like flags, trains, dogs and
many more. So my advice would be to start small and work up to something
you really like and enjoy.

It can be very confusing at first. I mainly collect United States and US
precancels because the history of these two areas attract my passion of
United States history, even though I am British and live in england.

If there are any charity shops around the area you live, you may find that
they sell stamps that have been donated to them and often you can pick up
quite good amounts for little investment.

without really knowing very much about collecting our stamps and others
