I have a 2002 Eid stamp (3674). It looks like the 2001 Eid (3532) but is denominated 37 cents. The 2001 is denominated 34. However, the date at the bottom says 2001.

Is this the case for all of these stamps, or do I have a rare typo?

Don

Had never noticed the date on this issue. But mine also reads 2001. Think it's safe to assume that all of these have the 2001 date.

The first Eid stamp was issued in 2001. I wonder if this date remained on the 2002 re-denomination as a kind of copyright?

I suspect the printer simply neglected to change the date. Probably didn't consider it important. There have been other stamps in which the date has not been changed. Just look at the American Design series. At least for the EID, there was only a one year difference between the date on the stamp & the date of issue.
