Hello! I would like some help with type on this one. Seems to be hard white paper, no grill. Perfs are 12. Thanks for your help!

There seems to be some confusion here. This stamp is not from the 1870s it is from 1861-67. If you are looking for the paper differences we see in the 1870s, hard vs. soft, these will not show those differences. There are some special papers for this series, but I doubt that you are looking for those since they are rather technical.

So, what is it you are wanting to see or know about the stamps you are showing us? Soft paper is not an option for these.

If I knew what stamp book you are using I might be able to help directly. However, in the Scott US Specialized catalog the stamps you are showing are both type A25 which in this color shade is a #65 in the listings.

Can you find it in your catalog?

Or do you mean "stamp album" when you say "stamp book"?

If it's an album, please tell us which one. These stamps belong with those from 1861.
