It's like the OP stated, the album page where the stamp was is stuck to the back. Since there is no original gum left, unused would be the only term that's applicable here.

It's picked up the black image that was on the album page. It appears there is some gum remaining. Isn't that the crackled appearance lower left and right?

dittrich, in one post you say "stamp not so go". I would disagree. It's nicely centered, perfs look good. Maybe some issue with staining top center, and some other spots that look like they might be ink or something. I think it's a good looking stamp.

I wonder, since there is so little gum, maybe a good bath wouldn't hurt.

With the album page adherence on the back, if it were mine I would just soak it (as stampcrow suggested)
