You know, Tina, I've heard of people exploding from spending too much time having fun stamping. You might want to save some for later! |

well if you left me in my room for 2 weeks and brought me food and water I could stamp and stamp and be ok with it but only 2 weeks while I was at it I found some odd shaped ones I posted them on one of the topics but you havent read it yet I guess. MK FARM what are you saying you havent had time for stamps or not many cuba ones? Warrehouse any precancel? do you like mint stamps? John any certain stamp your looking for? I've got a military pile going for you I will send when I think there is enough to send |

Tina, you must be piling up quite an accumulation with those particular countries! I restarted collecting WW about 4 years ago. Most of those countries you mentioned, are still quite disorganized in my collection because they issued so many stamps (especially the iron curtain countries). We're talking thousands and thousands of different stamps for each country in just 3-4 decades! I did start specifically trying to obtain some of the earlier DDR (pre-1954) about 1.5 years ago. I was rather surprised by how much I enjoyed looking for those stamps, because in the past I pretty much shunned DDR stamps because of all the CTOs they put out. Enjoy your stamps! k |

so you dont like the C.T.Os? some do some dont I prefer new ones myself I do have alot of C.T.Os though.I dont have a certain country that im collecting,so far is what I've done is I've gone through and have sorted them into countries and while doing this any stamp that has caught my eye I put into the "Tinas favorites" album pile and when id see certain stamps that a few of the guys and gal collect I put it in an envelope thats addressed to them and when I get enough worth sending I will.Thats why I was asking you what your collectig and some of the guys who missed my email I wrote long time ago asking what they were collecting I know what MK FARMS collects now |

I prefer genuinely postally used stamps over CTOs. But CTOs fill the space nicely until I can get the genuinely used stamp. The thing I don't like about CTOs is that most of them are still gummed -- that's one more storage/mounting issue for me to have to deal with. So most of them end up staying in the glassines. |

I know how that feels I still have boxes full of unsorted stamps and bags full of kiloware. Sometimes I spend more than 12 hours "stamping". Quote: lets hear who collects what! I collect DDR, but my collection is nearly complete. The German (BRD) stamps I collect are only the ones I receive in the mail and I mainly collect them to trade with them. I do, though, collect German stamps up to 1945, preferably from before WW1. But I mainly collect New Zealand. |

Sounds like alot of work. I saw the pile on your other thread.
I collect Germany, Berlin, German States, and most anything German. I dabble in Italy, France, Belgium, Vatican and most anything else.
Have fun! |
