Hello. This appears to be a 9.5 Perf? Right side perfs are not very distinguishable. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for looking!

Notice that in the first stamp pictured, the bottom perforation hole of the stamp is slightly aligned above the gauge perforation hole, so if you align the bottom hole exactly with the gauge hole, you will see more of an unalignment between the stamp and gauge near the top of the stamp. In fact, you will then see that the stamp perforation near the top will be lower than the gauge perforation, making it closer to gauge 10.

Also try measuring with another gauge. Some gauges are not accurate for all measurements since plastic and metal can vary over time and with temperature.

Thanks for the help. No matter how straight I line these up, they do not fit the 10 Perf on this guage
I will have to get a metal guage as you suggest. I have never had this much difficulty in measuring a guage before.

Perf 10 is actually closer to 9.90 and rotary coils are a tiny bit below that. They are listed and called perf 10 for convenience. Paper shrinkage is also an issue. Don't worry too much about slight mismatches with a gauge. The W/F and 1922 series has many different types of perforation that all vary slightly.

A member here (Don/51studebaker) created an accurate printable perf gauge: http://dd-designs.co/dnloads/perfgauge.pdf

Make sure to download it to your computer, then open and print it. Fold it at one of the sizes to compare it to a stamp on cover or to your current gauge. Like any paper gauge, it may become inaccurate over time, but you can always print a new one.

although everyone would like to find the first new thing ever when it comes to perfs and common stamps you kinda have to pick from one that is known to exist, at this point if you actualy find one that doesnt exist the odds are higher that your stamp is fake rather than rare.

Either way, these stamps are out of whack. Must have had some shrinkage as earlier mentioned. I haven't had any others measure like this. Usually, no issues. Thanks for the help!
