Excited about my new pick up. I know it is not in pristine condition, but for designs with multiple Types, I like stamps that show the distinct features. Couldn't pass this up with the centerline and clear bottom ornaments. Also the first Type I in my collection. Thought I would share!

Lukus, I bought my centerline copy of #18 earlier this year-- with the full plumes showing. Really wanted to see the full plumes....Very similar copy, actually, but yours is nicer!...very nice purchase on your part! Congrats. Here's my similar copy:

Gorgeous stamp, Iukusw, with beautiful, fresh color! I love those one-cent Franklins. Getting a #18 with bottom ornaments clear of the perfs, with a clear impression, and not covered by cancels is a rare find indeed! Congrats!

Iukusw,

I plated your stamp as 61R12. There is a large diagnostic dot in the plume of the ornament just up and to the right of the T in CENT that helped confirm the position. If you look at Ray.mac's stamp, there is no dot there.
