Most philatelic encyclopedias use the basic definition I mentioned.
But there there has been some heated debate on this in the Cinderella forum if you like to check it out!

OK, I'll look for that thread later. Although I default to the Linn's definition, I know it's a cop-out definition.

My end conclusion is still the same -- collect what you want, no matter what you call it!
