I'm not seeing a recut line in the upper left triangle. But... you've seen me in action before.

I do wonder what the line is that's showing on the neck and chest. Almost parallel and to the right, of the far right cancellation line.

This is probably sounding sort of goofy, but where is the upper left triangle?

the triangle is just below the diamond in the block and above the circle rosette. So it is in all four corners.

Those look like they may be Scott #10a.

The image in the post linked below shows three vertical lines recut in the upper left triangle. If you scroll up and see the post above it, that image shows no lines recut in the upper left triangle. Neither of your stamps appear to have a recut upper left triangle.

Yes I see the recuts would be vertical. Just curious why that upper left triangle on the right stamp is much darker or sharper lines?

The upper left triangle on your right stamp could be darker for a variety of reasons. The impression from the transfer roll to the plate could have been deeper on the plate position that the right stamp was printed from. Or the right impression could have received more ink during the printing process. It could be a combination of both--that it received more ink because it was a deeper impression.

From a recutting variety standpoint, they both appear the same to me. That is; no recuts in any of the triangles.

It does look like a #10A pair with nice margins for the most part.

Is it an entire cover? Any indication of date? Any content?
