While adding the back scan of a stamp I wanted to list, I found a grill ... where no grill should be. Could my Scott #190 be a #143?
I sent it off to the late Bill Weiss ... but the news was not good. It was a four letter F word. Here's the back scan of the #190, which is offered at my
ebay store (with a #143 disclaimer).

I had a #519 for sale at the store, when I received an Email from Bill telling me that it was a fake. I removed the listing, and added it to the "fake" column in my spreadsheet.
Much later, after extensive changes and additions to the spreadsheet, disaster struck. I hit the "column delete" option instead of the "row delete", and lost several columns. After hours of restoration, I realized that I just couldn't remember the Scott #s in the "fake column. I'll play my "85 years old" card here.
I listed the stamp again as a #519 and Studebaker51 was good enough to remind me of the error. Here the fake #519 image:
