Dittrich,

Your stamp is a #65 that is very sulfuretted (discolored/darkened/oxidized). So, it is impossible to say what the original color was. I think I can see a small amount of the original color behind Washington's head, but not enough to evaluate the color.

ok, I can only to say of cover back side written 1860.

left and right at stamp is color light rose?

FYI, If the date is truly 1860, then this cover did not originate with this stamp. Can't see that it is tied to the cover, and first date of issue was August 17, 1861. So the cover was probably manufactured...sorry!

I can't tell the color from the left and right sides. It is not a useful color specimen at all.

I think the #65 on cover is a genuine usage. The 1860 annotation on back must be incorrect.
