As many of you probably recall, USPS pulled a bit of a fast one last year by including the rather unique "circus-themed sheetlet" in 2014 Yearbook (and in a cancelled form on FDOI covers). I've been unable to determine whether we can expect some similar ploy in the 2015 issue. Does anyone have information on the specific stamps and sheetlets expected in the new yearbook?

Ipmiller,

I hope not. That was a dirty, dirty trick last year.

By the way, anytime you want to change your avatar, please let me know in advance.

I keep the stamps sealed, but quickly went through the book and didn't see anything like last years Circus Souvenir sheet.

I hit enter too fast ... The previous year's Souvenir Sheet was also available separately as an uncut sheet. The only difference (that I know of) was that the item from the uncut sheet was supplied with the white backing whereas the item in the yearbook was not.

jkelley, thanks for the compliment on the avatar. It is a good one. Please feel free to duplicate it if you'd like. No doubt the ghost of FDR would be pleased to see copies of it. Don't know if you're familiar with that particular cinderella. It's from at strip of six stamp collecting promotional poster stamps circa 1947. Everyone of them would make a good avatar. I found a sheet of them on ebay if you're interested in them.

wasjr: there is a BIG difference between the two versions of the Circus s/s. The one in the year book has perforations between the stamps. The ones from the press sheet have no perforations between the stamps and is listed in Scott as $4905b. The one from the year book is a footnote in Scott.

Ipmiller.

Thank you so much for the offer. I am a big FDR fan. My wife & I are going to Hyde Park this Spring. There are several FDR philatelic books out there and one them is all about the various post offices in the Hyde Park / Poughkeepsie area. I'm also still in the hunt for a 4/23/45 Warm Springs postmark.
