Clark, thanks for the extra info! I was curious if you (or anyone else) felt like any one certification service (APS, PF, PSE, or others) is better than the others PARTICULARLY when it comes to Washington Franklin coils?

All of them (PF, PSE, PSAG and APEX) are competent to expertize perforations and coils. Some coils will have to be examined by more than one expertizer, particularly if it has any chance of being genuine. Some older certificates from the PF have been overturned on re-examination by PF or others. Ditto for a few older PSE and APEX certificates.

Carl,
ebay has enough shady slime without your "test" lot. Take it down. Now.

Carl, This does not reflect on ebay, but on your lack of character. So many members of this Community invest countless hour to try to improve ebay lot accurary, etc. The hobby deserves better than your ilk.

I don't approve of what Carl was attempting to do, but I don't think flaming him was the right way to deal with it. Those first two posts I quoted were flat out flame war material, and very in-your-face. I am not surprised that the third post had to follow. But losing the subscriber does not fix the problem, cuts off commumication, creates ill will, and invites retaliation. What has this list gained by running him off? Purity?

I think we can do better. I hope we can get Carl to come back and promise him civil treatment even when there is disagreement.

essayk,
I didn't mention it before but since it has come back up... Carl won't be coming back, SCF closed his account on 12/19/15.
