I had a friend give me four shoe boxes full of Used US stamps still on paper. Don't think there is much value to them even if I soak them off the paper, but thought I would ask the question before I dispose of them.

ANY COMMENTS?

FredTrief, welcome to this forum. Can you give us some idea how the stamps are still on paper? If they are covers there may be some value although not very much I am afraid. Maybe a picture of part of this would help?

Peter

The stamps have been torn off the envelope corner. No postmarks, etc.

Stamps from that era are among the most common there are. You probably wouldn't get much more than a couple dollars a pound or so for them on ebay. Soaking them off wouldn't really increase their value all that much, either.

Thanks for the help from the Stamp Community Family. I'm not surprised by the answer, but thought I better ask.
