I came across a box of stamps today they are a bunch of sheets stuck together would you steam them apart or soak the whole stack and get them apart that way .It is mostly sheets of commemorative

Kingstonstamper, have you searched this forum? There are several topics about this.
I think with "competitive" you must mean commemoratives? It all depends on what their worth is. If they are just regular stamps with little value I would just soak them in water and use them for postage! If more expensive I would be more careful and follow the advise in some of these threads!

Thank you for the correction Petert4522 I did not even notice lol.Thats the problem I can not tell from the sheets there about 1 inch thick like a board they were some good ones in folders with the wax paper separating 48 sheets there fine. The ones in the bottom of the box were not so lucky. Stored in a basement for many years .Got a pretty good deal on the whole box.

first sheet steamed could not up load the whole sheet but I think it turned out pretty good

found them in-between the 5th and 6th sheets there is treasure in the stamps.
