I'm new to the forum. Radioloon is my moniker! I collect pioneer airmail flights from the Netherlands Indies to the Netherlands, similar pioneer airmail from England to British East Africa, Christmas seals from around the world, 1938 air mail week covers and misc., airline baggage labels, American Civil War postal history and I'm trying to learn how to distinguish all of the Washington/Franklins minted 1900 to 1930's.
Being retired allows me a lot of time to look for the material I need to fit into my above collecting areas.
Other hobbies: gardening, home remodeling, travel (we are trying to visit all of the National Parks in America), and helping my kids.
That's me in a nutshell!

Welcome! I'm curious if you get any chance to combine stamp shows and national park visits...

Living in Colorado, trying to see stamp shows with a wife that has no interest. Gotta work on that idea!
What kind of paper do you deal?

Ohio may present an opportunity for you - Cuyahoga Valley National Park is very close to Cleveland (and has a scenic railroad that operates through the park and other points). Come and catch the Garfield-Perry March Party, or come to the APS summer show which will be in Columbus in 2018 and make the side trip. :) [I'm biased, since I'm from Cleveland].

I'm primarily a postal historian. My main collecting interests are various aspects of Ohio postal history (I've exhibited several different areas, including pre-1820 mail, Licking County, Cincinnati integral rate postmarks, the Ohio Farmers Insurance Company, and the Cleveland Circuit (streetcar) RPO); I also have a gold-medal exhibit of the US Postal Savings system.

I also have interest in postcards and stock certificates, among other things.

Ohio sounds like an idea, my roots are from Toledo. My dad grew up in Toledo, much of the family is still in the area.
This summer is a trip to the Tennessee parks and monuments, the national parks system looks at monuments the same as a park, that should make the list longer. There are a few dealers I would like to visit as we travel, have to keep acquisitions low as not much fits into our drop top.
I exhibit in the aero philately areas that I collect but living on this side of the pond limits the better finds. You have any postal history from LaPorte Indiana between 1860-1865?
