I noticed some flaws on this 10 cent Monroe and am interested as to how they occurred. As you can see, the Perfs are a mess and I am unable to measure them. There is a strange hook shaped line on the right "10". I also noticed the "i" in "United" is slightly deformed. The stamp itself has a few creases and isn't in the best condition. Thanks for looking!

that kind of damage to a low value stamp makes it pretty much worthless, the perfs are because it was way off center to start with but its all damage after it was made.

Hopefully an expert in US stamps will jump in here, but I have noted that these 10 cent Monroes are notorious for bad perfs.

After some research, I have to agree on the tendency for bad perfs. This is just a loose stamp I've had for years. I usually only collect modern mnh stamps and don't have much detailed knowledge about pre 40's. Thanks!
