That is just a common thing on these stamps. I believe you are talking about the blind perforations? By the way, A139 is not the catalog number for these stamps, it is the design number.

Yes Peter, is about the number of perforations under the second stamp of the first column. |

I think I answered your question. There are some blind perforations there, where the pins of the perforator did not go all the way through the paper. And yes, that is a fairly common thing to happen and does not really change the value of the block. What does change the value in a negative way is the slight misperforation of the stamps. Hope this helps?

It's difficult to classify a stamp's perforations without a gauge. If you just count the perforations, you'll need to measure a specific distance while counting. A gauge is easier, I think, and more accurate.
As for the stamps you ordered, the blind perforations would not make a new variety not would they change how one classifies the perforations. |

Denis, counting perforations is not a very good method. Best way is with using a gauge!
