Scott 916 of this issue is the "reverse" printing, meaning the pale blue flag stripes cover the pal blue shading lines. I picked up a block today, and it clearly is the reverse version. But looking at the underlying shading, the top left stamp (and, to a lesser degree the top right stamp) appears to have a mottled appearance. This isn't listed in French's plate varieties.

While comparing this issue, I looked in my collection, and think that I also found the 916a, or "normal" printing where the dark blue shading is over the pale blue flag stripes.

I know it is a bad copy, and I see that ebay has several for about $4 in MNH conditions, but at least I found one.
