I just got this in an auction lot. Previous owners note (top left) indicates some sort of print error that makes this block worth $200.00. My scott cat. doesn't show a 909C. Is this anything special?

Because you don't have the good Scott catalogue, the specialized show the 909c , on the 909c the red is over the black

$ 150 for 1 stamp, you have 4 of them , ( that's the catalogue value, street price is more $ 50-60 ) but I can't say for sure it's a 909c without a better scan. But it's look like one, take a scan of only 1 stamp , check where the black go out of the red and you will see, the black under the red will look way more grey than the one going outside

Yes it's look lie a a 909c, but something look fishy , you have black spots more dark than other ..... And the red hide way to much the black

Uh-oh. I don't like "fishy" LOL. I'll see if I have a normal 909 in my collection to compare.

Ronv, I think area66 thinks the red is too red. It is covering the black more than on other 909c's we have seen. If you google 'Scott 909c' and choose pictures, you can see what one supposed to look like!
