I'm in Columbus,Mississippi for the Market Street Festival. Walked into a thrift store browsing and looked under a table and there sits a traveler stamp album! It's scarce with U.S. stamps but a few good ones. The first series Washington has a tear that someone used a hinge to repair. That sucks but at least I have one now!

The bottom half looks plastic due to the hinge

I thought this stamp was black not red brown. Anyone have an explanation?

Flipacoin, please do no handle stamps with the bare unprotected hands. You will unknowingly damage stamps, even those that are already damaged

Mike33, I appreciate the assessment, no argument there, a little disappointing though! Thanks

Don't know if I could say "nice find" or not here. Depends on what you paid for the album, and what else is in it.....these can be nice starters for someone starting a US collection, and a lot of collectors started with this album- I did, and still have some of the pages-- and what remains in my pages is, what I would guess, is what you found...Maybe a "seed" for starting a collection, but not much more than that.

Hope I'm wrong...let us know more details...Ray
