Hi everyone.

I started my collection in the 1970s and put it away some time in the mid to late 80's. I virtually haven't touched it since then, but while I was collecting I bought stamps from several companies, so my collection is pretty much worldwide. I have new and used stamps from several countries including U.S. I also purchased individual stamps, pairs and corner blocks and some special editions from Canada.

Now I have to decide whether I should try and pick up where I left off or liquidate my collection.

Any and all suggestions would be welcome.

Thanks Renden. Funny, I just started looking through some of the stamps that I had acquired while I was actively collecting and I lost myself in the process. There are many things that I must consider, including health issues, the fact that I have no one to bequeath my collection to and wondering how to inventory and appraise it, to consider donating it, and if so, to whom.

I have no idea how to determine any of these things.

I would therefore recommend that you take a few months and go through various pertinent subjects in this Forum and share with others, ask questions etc.

You really have to be in a Hospital bed, and dying, not to be able to enjoy Stamp collecting - and if you have problems with inheritance, leave it to a charitable org. Good luck !

P.S. (post scriptum -latin) If your original post was intended to find a buyer for your collection, there I cannot help you but am sure some more experienced members could direct you to proper channels if you ask the Community.
