Hardly a day goes by where I'm not crusing the internet for stamp deals from my favorite dealers. I usually start with Stamps2go, followed by the APC, Stampwants, jkstamps, Poppe Stamps (Phillipines), Arpin Philately, and of course good old ebay. Wondering if anyone has other favorites they'd like to share? Allan

I have had good dealings with members here in the B/S/T section. Besides the usual suspects you have already mentioned. |

Yeah, I think you've about covered the big ones. Personally, I miss the (now-defunct) Yahoo Auctions. There were several regulars there and the deals were usually much better than ebay. KirkS |

abutt1 - What has your experience with Poppe Stamps been? They list tens of thousands of lots on StampWants at $1 or more even when catalog is only 20 cents. |

Also, you might want to check out StampOffers. A number of our SCF brothers and sisters sell and buy there. Prices are usually better than on StampWants and ebay. |

Abutt1 you may want to check out Stampoffers.com it does not charge sellers (or buyers) a fee and its mostly stamp collectors selling to other collectors..you can get the 5 cent stamps that the dealers do not bother with there...and better stamps as well..usually around one third of catalog..i list there myself... |

I got you Phil. I finally learned how to do a Guatemala search while filtering him out. It was really frustrating to see so much good material so overpriced and wading through it took too much time and frustrated me.
BTW, how are you doing? We haven't talked much lately.
Are you up for a cash buy Guat want list? |

Thanks all for the response. Laswabbie -- Poppe Stamps is certainly reliable, although items take a long time getting here to the east coast of US. I agree $1.00/ stamp seems alot, but the last 10 mint stamps I received were as perfect copies I have ever seen. Secretary even scanned a stamp and emailed me because she thought I might not like a very slight defect in the perf. |
