I found some loose stamps in grampa' collection that look like they are from Great Britain, but they have what looks like a winged dragon on them. Help?

Need to post a pic, as there are several stamps from the United Kingdom that have winged dragons.

Or, if you don't have a scanner/camera handy, then a brief description will suffice. (make sure you include denomination).

Agreed. If I had to take a wild guess, I would also say the Wales and Monmouthshire regional Wilding issues, which are quite common.

But it might also be the 1958 Commonwealth Games, or better yet, one of the earlier St. George issues (I really like those issues).

KHJ,
They are the ones you scanned (and thanks for doing so). Where do I put them in my album?

Actually, I pilfered the scans, as all my scanners are out on loan to my NPO. And of course, I don't have the 1 GBP stamp!

Which stamp(s) did you have and what album are you using?

Usually Harris albums have a space for regional issues in Great Britain, but if you're in a newer Traveller, it probably doesn't.

My suggestion: leave them out for now until you get your page situation looked at, and then dedicate half a page to Scotland, half to Wales, and on the other side of the page, half a page to Northern Ireland and half to the Isle of Man and Jersey and Guernsey. The latter two now issue their own stamps, but there were formerly GB regional issues for them.

I had the top 2 blocks. Yeah my Traveler doesn't have spots for these. Will wait and see what I can come with.
I do have spots though for Isle of Man and Jersey. Not the nest album, thats for sure. But keeps my 12 y/o happy. Going to try and make some pages of my own, as soon as I find some 9x12 paper.

subway stamp shop carries 9 x 12 paper which can be used in certain ink jet printers so you print your own quadrille or even create your own formated album pages .
