OK, first of all, Mr. Al E. Gator cannot participate!
A nondescript cover from Auburn, CA, but I was really excited about this one, and I've been looking for it (or one like it) for about 5 years now. Can anyone tell me why?

Thanks, Ray

The cancel date. One of the worst days in American history.

Can't see the 1865 well, but the docketing takes care of that....but I've wanted an April 14, 1865 for a long time.....I have April 15, 1865, which is the date that Lincoln died, but the April 14th date was a pretty big date in American History.....

Thanks guys......Ray

Nice catch!

You must have some very special antennae that let you catch stuff like that. It would have gone right past me entirely. Be sure to showcase it with the death date cover on your album/exhibit page.
