I was wandering if this cancell might have been done by cork stamp and wether it depreciates the value of the postage stamp?

Thanks!

Your cancel is a segmented cork cancel. It does not lower the value of a used example but being common it doesn't increase the value either.

It is a cork cancel. This is a radial geometric design, usually referred to as a "circle of wedges." It is also known as a "fancy cancel."

Whether it adds or decreases value depends on the collector. For a collector simply wanting an example of this stamp, the cancel on the eye may be unappealing. For a fancy cancel collector, it probably would add appeal, although this radial geometric design is one of the most common fancy cancels on bank note stamps.

Makanudo,
I was referring to the cancel as being common. Your stamp is either Scott #178 hard paper printing or Scott #183 soft paper printing. I can't tell from the scan which number it is but my guess would be #178 because the tips of the perfs don't show loose fibers. But likI said it is difficult to know for sure from a scan. I hope this helps.
