Hi Tim.......

I collect just the things I like.......many collectors try to collect everything and there are just too many that are much too expensive for most people. So I choose to hunt for just the things I like. I generally like the older material better but there are some modern items that I like also. As for how to protect material, there are several very acceptable choices available for collectors, for most used modern items, using hinges is the most common choice as it is the least expensive.

Do you have any information about collecting ? Are you interested in more that just what you need to earn a merit badge ?

Hi Tim.....

How are you going about getting your 100 USA stamps? I collect all U.S. stamps. Who is your troop leader? Is he a member of this Forum?

Tim, Alot of people collect topically, meaning a theme, like Scouting or find another subject you like and find stamps to match. Or collect a stamp from each current country in the world or regionally like stamps from Asia or Europe.
I was in Boy Scouts & got my stamp collecting merit badge, it was easy since I'd already been collecting stamps for a while.

Good Luck & Good Collecting!
Mike
