welcome to the club.

There is more in that auction than just a stamp.

Drago, check the listing. That's a very historic stamp. Some of the soldiers on it are identified. Very special to those that were there and their families.

Yes, well some people inflate prices and try to justify it any way they can. The whole thing is kind of rediculous.

Drago, the auction listing is not just for that stamp. You are correct, the stamp itself is minimum catalog value.

However, the lot listed is a historical lot. It includes the autographs, stories, and some memorabilia of the soldiers depicted on the stamp. That is why the asking price is so high.

I cannot attest for the authenticity of the lot, nor whether it actually merits the full premium amount sought by the seller, since I do not collect war memorabilia.

Caveat Emptor!

IMHO, the lot is really cool if all the signatures are authentic.

IMHO, it's not worth $20K. But, what do I know?

It seems a little pricey to me. I agree that it is a valuable lot, the asking price is way too high.
